Chatbot for tax-advisor offices — answer FAQs without giving legal advice
The problem
Tax offices get the same questions every January: 'Which receipts do I need to bring?', 'What's your hourly rate?', 'How do I submit my Elster-password?'. Senior staff is tied up instead of billing.
How Mignuti Chatbot solves it
Upload your mandate-prep checklist + price-list + office-rules PDF. Mignuti Chatbot answers 24/7 in the client's language. Has built-in guardrails to refuse anything that looks like actual tax advice (§ 5 StBerG).
Example questions
- Which receipts do I need for my 2024 tax return?
- What are your fees?
- When do you close for Christmas?
- Can I drop off documents after 6 pm?
- Do you handle GmbH-accounting?
FAQ
Can this replace tax advice?
No. Mignuti Chatbot is configured to refuse tax/legal/medical advice and direct users to book an appointment. This is a feature, not a bug — it protects you from § 5 StBerG liability.
What about sensitive client data?
End-users are told not to share sensitive data in the permanent EU AI-Act disclosure banner (contractually fixed in our TOS for every client). Inbound messages are PII-redacted (emails, IBANs, tax-IDs) before LLM forwarding.
Can clients upload documents through the chat?
Not in v1.0. The bot directs them to your secure DATEV-Client-Portal or scheduled drop-off instead.
